The life we live, we live as if forever, yet life fleets as if a vapour, its breath wisps carried on the frosty morning air, its death lingers like fog in the hollow. Our hearts once celebrating life now mourn the life withdrawn , sorrow and anger mix their suffocating air, our hope gone like the extinguished candle, a wisp of smoke all we can remember. Yet in the darkness of our agony you are there Lord, lingering in the shadows, your frame becomes sweet light. Gradually your light illuminates the gloom and Lord Jesus you rise with us, lifting our hearts, bowed no more our rest comes finally in your sweet embrace.
